Learn a little about me and my pmu journey:

Hi! I’m Mandy Dormaier! I’m 44 years old and I live in Bremerton, WA. I have a fiancé, 3 kids between us, two dogs & a cat 😊 We like to travel and remodel homes in our spare time 🤣

I was a hairstylist for 17 years and I took my first pmu course (microblading & shading with PhiBrows, followed by Beauty Angels) sept of ‘18. I was still struggling perfecting microblading (retention, not seeing my strokes very well, just how hard it was in general lol) in the fall of ‘19 when Brow Tricks first launched their original single row pixel shader and I was sold! I started out using it to shade between my microblading strokes, but then Carissa (the owner) showed how you can use it to create hair strokes by TAPPING the blade into the skin instead of SLICING so I started trying that with my microblading touchup clients! I just tapped over the old strokes and I was SO IMPRESSED by how much easier it was than microblading and how much better it took to the skin and retained!! It was then over for me and I haven’t picked up a microblading tool since! Pixelblading is MY JAM! It’s been a fun journey and I’m absolutely still learning ♥ Another thing I love is teaching and sharing knowledge! It’s always come natural to me and I find it very rewarding. It’s definitely a natural progression for me to start helping others to learn/perfect pixelblading! I can’t wait to work with you!!

The machine I had for powderbrows (rook) was just heavy and vibrated a lot and I just didn’t vibe at all. I stumbled upon the browtricks tribe group by total accident. Then I saw a video that another artists posted with manual outlining using a pixelblade- and it was that OMG moment I needed! I was a makeup artist for 15 years prior so using a manual tool to create made more logical sense to me than machine… especially using something that resembles an angled eyeliner brush to outline! One of the best parts of using a pixelblade is neverrrr losing your outline!! I actually never used a microblade or machine on anyone but the few models from my training and shadowing… pixeling exclusively since day one! The retention has always been pretty amazing 🤩 the healing is fast and not scary and just based on client experience and their healing stores and healed results, I haven’t turned back!!
